Set at the heart of the delightful village of Morton, near Southwell, not far from the River Trent, the Full moon is a welcoming pub with year round appeal: a charming garden for the summer and two roaring log fires for the winter. January 2009 saw the The Full Moon transform from a dark and dated pub to a light and comfortable pub with exposed beams and reclaimed panels. Combined with reclaimed furniture and contemporary carpets, The Full Moon is becoming a destination pub in the area.

The Full Moon day starts at 10.00 with great coffee, brunch and the days papers -    you might find yourself still sat in one of our comfy tub chairs at lunch time! With Southwell Races less than 5 minutes away, the buzz of the races often starts around our bar with coffee and a copy of the Racing Times. 

Our set menu runs alongside our pub menu from 12 until 2.30pm and offers something for everyone, from the passing rambler looking for a soup and sandwich, to the business folk out on a working lunch looking for a three course lunch. 

Food is served in the evening from 6pm until 9.30pm and sees the set menu on Monday through to Thursday as well as the much loved Pub menu. On a Friday and Saturday night the set menu is replaced with a specials board featuring fresh fish and meat dishes. Click here for a look at our menus      

As a traditional pub, Real Ale is at the for front of the Full Moons bar and you will be greeted by 5 handpulls as you walk through the door. Landlord William has been awarded a Cask Marque for the quality of the ale on offer and is also a member of Camras Locale scheme, pledging to always offer at least one local ale. The Full Moons wine list is varied and well priced and reguarly complemented for its range of wines available by the glass.

The Full Moon is proud to be a pub, but likes to offer much more than your average local. A licence to hold civil ceremonies gives couples the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed and intimate wedding followed by dinner ranging from a fish and chip lunch to a 3 course dinner.
